Introducing our Special Release this season, the Classic Tote in Tan. This timeless style tote bag is crafted in Australia with full grain European leather for an exquisite look and feel. Our signature best selling bag, beloved by many since its launch in 2014, has been reworked into a special release featuring a dappled tone of Tan leather with the introduction of beautifully stitched, leather lined handles.

Each design is expertly crafted around hidden seams, white stitching, and clean lines - in harmony with our values of making for long term quality. 

Adorned with the elements of quality craftsmanship and distinctive texture, the Classic Tote in Tan is a sophisticated addition to any wardrobe.

Features a thoughtfully designed internal pocket, including a zippered side compartment with two handy pouch pockets.

  • Full Grain European cowhide Leather 
  • Handcrafted by our artisan maker team in Dubbo NSW
  • Quality brass hardware, securely attached and sewn on to the bag individually
  • Leather lined & fully stitched leather straps for comfort, hand-held or over-shoulder wear 
  • Internal Leather zippered pocket with two outer, small pouch pockets 
  • Measures: 32 cm high, 26 cm wide at base, 39 cm wide at top, 11 cm deep

Batch Notes This batch colour is a dappled Tan with hints of amber + honey. A lovely golden version, perfect for gatherings and traveling days.

Style Notes: The bag size is designed to function perfectly on a daily basis. There is room for a clutch, notebook, pens and phone, small laptop or office essentials. You may like to carry your lunch to work or keep your book at hand within a bag design which is both accessible and pleasingly simple.  

The natural raw edges give a touch of authenticity and the waxed finish has excellent durability. This is indicative of a special piece that will not date with the passage of time. We recommend leather conditioning and to take a little extra care against scratches against harsh objects, to preserve the supple nature of this leather.

Maker Notes: The unique aesthetic of the Classic tote bag is discovered through premium one-piece panels of leather and the feature buckles. The pattern allows the individual grain of the leather to be fully experienced. In the process, we have avoided undue busyness such as external stitching lines or gaudy hardware. 

The leather handles are our signature design, featuring adjustable length settings and NEW stitched, leather lined handles, featuring a beautiful white cotton.

Made in Australia. Each one of our leather goods is designed & handcrafted personally by the Saddler & Co workshop situated in Dubbo, Australia.

Every item is uniquely designed, prepared, cut, sewn, finished, and packaged in-house by our dedicated team. We source only the finest leathers, and grade them in house for each product.

As a brand we value supporting local businesses and other makers. Most of packaging, including boxes & print material, is made in Australia and completely recyclable.

The Saddler & Co range is limited in nature, made in small batches at a time. If your preferred item has sold out and specifies "PRE-ORDER" this means there will be a lead time on your order. A pre-order product will be scheduled for our next production run and we will update you on the approximate completion date.

Our team is happy to assist with your questions or discussing a specific timeframe. We appreciate your patience and understanding there may sometimes be a wait of up 4-6 weeks for Pre-Orders to be completed and shipped.
