The leather Briefcase will become a familiar companion, melding to the nature of life travels and flying trips. This is a premium, full grain leather bag designed to hang by your side or carried handheld with ease.

The Saddler‘s Briefcase is a piece that stands out. So named because of the style of briefcase made traditionally by those of the Saddler’s trade. The craftsman's knowledge is essential to the end result. There is a balance between rugged construction and refined simplicity in this design, with all the leather sides and panels having been doubled and reinforced. Solid brass Saddler‘s “rivet and burr” rivet hardware feature as the failsafe, as these will never wear or break.

Adorned with low-set “whole” rectangle brass buckles, the classic front face of the bag has such comeliness that it catches one’s eye on the street. The box-like form of the Briefcase has a beauty and structural appeal which guarantees the owner will always look sharp and at their finest.

• Front leather flap is reinforced by double leather lining, secured with two solid brass buckles
• Briefcase interior is completely lined with full grain leather and full leather box gusset construction, for durability and long term strength
• Hand crafted carry handle, made from multiple layers of leather, firmly riveted in place to ensure handle safety and long term structure
• Leather carry strap is constructed of full grain leather, double lined, stitched, solid brass buckle and brass clips which can detach from the case. 
• Features an adjustable leather shoulder pad for comfortable wearing.
• A statement of simplicity, minimalist style, and the character of leather itself. 
• To care for this leather, we recommend using a small amount of leather conditioner every six months to maintain the supple finish.

For heirloom items such as the Saddler’s Briefcase, only the cleanest and best leather pieces are chosen. Nevertheless, the briefcase will not be dull nor void of nuance. The material has already developed a character all of its own. It comes with its own story, ready to join you, every step of the way. 

Maker’s Notes: 

This piece will be presented with its individual batch number, stamped and signed by our makers as a seal of authenticity. This is a limited introductory release, with our first small batch due to be rolled out in September. 

Made under the instruction of our Saddler’s team in the Dubbo workshop. This fine piece of craftsmanship will be your faithful and proud companion for many years to come. Each piece is selected and cut from Australian full grain leather hide, before sewing each bag using traditional methods, always in small batches.

Use

Varied corporate and everyday use. Well suited to the daily commute, with a removable strap for ease of using the Saddler‘s briefcase in the way that suits you best - whether slung over the shoulder, or by your side in a trustworthy manner.
There is the comfort of security knowing the bag is finished with brass buckles, while yet still accessible to the wearer.

• Zippered back pocket compartment 30cm (12in) x 21cm (8.25in) suitable for an Ipad, tablet, notepad, or loose papers.
• Interior pouch compartment constructed from full grain leather x 36cm (14.25in) x 26cm (10.3in) expands to the contents suitable for storing notebooks, papers, iPad, or tablet.
• 2 x leather pouch pockets x 13cm (5.1in) height x 11cm (4.5in) width each
• Leather carry strap 2.5cm (1in) wide with adjustment ranges from 135 cm - 143 cm (51-56in) fitting holes. 

Guarantee Saddler & Co is a local, manufacturing business which means you can always get in touch with our workshop for advice and repairs. We offer a Lifetime repair service on manufacturing defects or faults. We also offer a Restoration service over the years of use, wherein you can return your leather goods for general wear and tear repairs plus conditioning.
