Glasses Case in Cocoa

$150.00

This design melds the beauty of one piece of leather & brass studs into an elegant, and protective, companion for your eyewear.

Discover a thoughtfully crafted design in this pleasing leather case, hand crafted to store and transport eyewear. Glasses are at once delicate and precious, deserving of premium protection. This intrinsically simple yet durable piece is a secure way of carrying eyewear with you.

The Glasses Case is made to be a daily companion. Ergonomically pleasant to hold and durable enough to withstand travel. Each case extends the charm of natural materials into everyday life, giving  a unique snapshot of the leather’s variable character. The Australian leather is supple to the touch, and will show variable amounts of character and natural markings.

Specifications:
  • Crafted from Australian Full-Grain Cowhide
  • Durable, designed for years of use. Develops suppleness rather than wearing out at corners or cracking.
  • Opening is a tactile experience, adding to the personal ritual of reading or travel. The brass ‘Sam Browne’ studs contrast the malleable leather, yet both are materials that develop a graceful wear.
  • Holding and carrying the case is a pleasing experience, with the natural curves of the leather sitting easy in the hand.
  • The curved structure is essentially a hand moulded pucker, a form which is made possible by the thickness of the leather. The form tapers in at the sides, ensuring that the glasses cases are gently held by the pleasant softness of the suede-side. Hence the glasses are protected, but don’t rattle around as they do in boxes.
  • Click here to emboss your monogram on the lower right corner of the glasses case for a personal touch.
  • Measures: 200 mm long (8") x 100 mm wide (3.95"), up to 25 mm (1”) gusset

Styling Notes:

The Glasses Case will happily stand alone as a hand held leather piece. However, you will find the leather colours compliment our existing Signature collection of leather bags and office journals.

The Glasses case will neatly match and fit within the following designs: The Classic Tote | the Classic Clutch | the Saddle Bag | the Laptop Case | the Essential Bag. The Glasses case will also pair well with our Leather Journals for an elegant approach to office and work life.

Maker Notes:

This design is a celebration of the malleable nature of leather. Designed by Bede Aldridge to feature one whole piece of leather. Inspiration was taken to design this piece around heritage style while focusing on minimal seams. This adds to the simplicity of the look while purposefully creating softness around the fold.

The original design was first crafted in collaboration with local Optometrist specialists, Burgan & Williams, Dubbo who kindly provided the designer eyewear seen in our photoshoot.
