An heirloom handcrafted traditional Drafter Saddle made in Dubbo NSW by Bede Aldridge saddler, to provide many years of good riding.

This finely crafted saddle is designed to provide a rare experience of class, luxury, and awesome comfort.

The Drafter Saddle is made to order, to suit your needs.Bede personally spends time in discussion with you to ensure a saddle that will be suitable for horse and rider. Commonly there is a wait time of 6-12 months once you have secured your order. We aim to complete your saddle within this time, to your satisfaction and enjoyment.

NOTE: Saddle Pricing is always indicative and may be subject to increases according to leather variability or additional changes / add on custom details the client may require.

  • Made on an Australian wood and steel tree.
  • Features quality English and Italian leathers.
  • 4.5" dip in seat.
  • Solid brass hardware.
  • Natural fibre hand-stuffed panel.
  • Fully mounted: Stainless steel 4 bar irons / Wide stockman's leathers, moulded and ready for use / Surcingle / Anitgall or firehose combination girth.

Each hide of leather has its own characteristic markings and tone, and thus each one of our leather goods will be unique and individual.

Made in Australia. Each one of our leather goods is designed & handcrafted personally by the Saddler & Co workshop situated in Dubbo, Australia.

Every item is uniquely designed, prepared, cut, sewn, finished, and packaged in-house by our dedicated team. We source only the finest leathers, and grade them in house for each product.

As a brand we value supporting local businesses and other makers. Most of packaging, including boxes & print material, is made in Australia and completely recyclable.

When your chosen item is in stock, please allow up to 3 days for your order to ship. Alternatively, contact our team directly to arrange Express shipping.

The Saddler & Co range is limited in nature, made in small batches at a time. If your preferred item has sold out and specifies "PRE-ORDER" this means there will be a lead time on your order. A pre-order product will be scheduled for our next production run and we will update you on the approximate completion date.

Our team is happy to assist with your questions or discussing a specific timeframe. We appreciate your patience and understanding there may sometimes be a wait of up 4-6 weeks for Pre-Orders to be completed and shipped.

Patience is worthwhile for a piece that will be enjoyed for many a year.
