The handcrafted Flora tote is a beautifully tactile bag in our natural, golden brown leather.

The elements of this leather bag are inspired by our best selling classic tote. We've simplified the style with a minimal rivet and chosen to use a stunning nubuck leather with a velvet, textural finish that begs to be touched.

Batch Notes: Please note that due to the variance in the natural leather tanning process, this batch is imbued with lighter than usual nutmeg tones pictured here, with a hint of amber. This particular batch is a beautiful, premium leather that has resulted in stunning bags. We love how the lighter tones of nutmeg will provide a versatile colour range that will age well. 

The napped fibres on the surface of this leather create an earthy, changeable texture, responding to everyday use - but this daily wear soon transitions into a distinctive, supple sheen that will stay beautiful through years of use.

The Flora Tote bag includes a secure leather pocket with YKK zipper inside the bag and one handy pouch, perfect for accessing your phone or keys.

Maker Notes

We celebrate the subtle variations and inherent beauty of leather in the daily use of each bag.

Our full grain nubuck leather is made in New Zealand. Hand selected for its durability, tactility, and excellent ability to wear-in. 

Already imbued with oils for the long-haul, the Flora leather doesn’t need conditioner, and is even water-resistant. Scuffs and scratches can be worked out by brushing down the leather with a dry-sheepskin buff, also bringing forth the underlying shine and suppleness.

Each bag is produced in small batches here in the Saddler & Co workshop. Year after year we handcraft our designs to remain timeless and simple, a hallmark of the Saddler & Co brand.

Colour descriptions The Nutmeg is a warm, golden brown. The Moss is a mottled olive green. The Aniseed is a deep, shadowy black.

This leather contains natural oils which means the leather is extremely durable, stain repellent, and made to withstand constant use without damage, only requiring a soft damp cloth to clean and maintain its beautiful finish.

Each hide of leather has its own characteristic markings and tone, and thus each one of our leather goods will be unique and individual.

Made in Australia. Each one of our leather goods is designed & handcrafted personally by the Saddler & Co workshop situated in Dubbo, Australia.

Every item is uniquely designed, prepared, cut, sewn, finished, and packaged in-house by our dedicated team. We source only the finest leathers, and grade them in house for each product.

As a brand we value supporting local businesses and other makers. Most of packaging, including boxes & print material, is made in Australia and completely recyclable.

The Saddler & Co range is limited in nature, made in small batches at a time. If your preferred item has sold out and specifies "PRE-ORDER" this means there will be a lead time on your order. A pre-order product will be scheduled for our next production run and we will update you on the approximate completion date.

Our team is happy to assist with your questions or discussing a specific timeframe. We appreciate your patience and understanding there may sometimes be a wait of up 4-6 weeks for Pre-Orders to be completed and shipped.
